The Mahopac Central School District held a Superintendent’s Conference Day on Nov. 5, where teachers, staff and administrators gathered for professional development. Mahopac educators and school leaders had the valuable opportunity to expand their skills and training for the benefit of the entire school community.
“Conference Days allow for meaningful collaboration among staff members, enabling them to share ideas, discuss challenges and create strategies for improvement,” Mahopac Superintendent Christine Tona said. “The theme for this Conference Day was ‘Creating a Welcoming and Affirming Environment’ and we were thrilled to offer a schedule of robust programs for our team to choose from.”
Faculty and staff were able to select classes on several topics including behavior management strategies, building a belonging classroom, engaging with AI: working smarter not harder, non-violent crisis prevention intervention, team building activities for the classroom and many more.
