Fulmar Road 'Oscar Ceremony'

Fulmar Road fifth graders recently wrapped up their literary essay unit with a creative and unforgettable “Oscar Ceremony.” After completing their essays, the students each chose a Patricia Polacco book they had been reading to nominate for an award. They designed 3D-printed trophies to honor their chosen book and wrote heartfelt speeches to explain why it deserved the accolade.

To add to the excitement, the students visited Fulmar’s Fifth Grade Walk of Fame, where their names were proudly displayed on “Hollywood Stars.” Dressed in their finest attire, the fifth graders walked the red carpet to present their prestigious awards, making the event a memorable celebration.
