For the 17th year, Lakeview Elementary School’s Giving Tree has spread holiday cheer throughout the community, ensuring that Lakeview families in need receive a helping hand during the holiday season. This beloved tradition has become a heartwarming example of how staff, parents and community members come together to support each other.
A highlight of this year’s program was the generosity of the St. John’s CYO basketball team, which stepped in to sponsor eight families, making a significant contribution to the success of the campaign. Their involvement is a perfect example of how local organizations can join forces with schools to make a real difference during the holidays.
“The generosity of our staff, parents and the broader community has been absolutely amazing this year,” said Lakeview Assistant Principal Leigh Galione who coordinates the Giving Tree. “We are truly proud to be part of such a caring and supportive community. It’s inspiring to see how everyone comes together to make the holidays brighter for our families.”
The success of this year’s Giving Tree serves as a reminder of the power of kindness and the lasting impact of community involvement. As the Lakeview Elementary School community reflects on this year’s generous outpouring, there’s no doubt that the spirit of giving will continue to thrive for many years to come.
